“At least 524 ambulances fitted with advance life support systems are being purchased with an expenditure of Rs 524 crore. This will be over the existing available ambulances,” Health Minister Mangal Pandey added.
The initiative will be rolled out in K-east ward (Andheri East, Marol, Chakala), where a tentative list of around 70 beneficiaries has been drawn up.
During the second wave, Noccarc also worked with various large CSR organizations for deploying the ventilators in hospitals located at remote locations across the nation, a significant percentage of which were installed in government hospitals.
"Most of the drugs that are part of COVID-19 management protocol have ceiling prices, viz., paracetamol, dexamethasone, methylprednisolone, IVIGs, enoxaparin, budesonide, heparin and amphotericin, etc," Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers Mansukh Mandaviya said in a written reply to a query in the Lok Sabha.
