SpiceHealth has signed a memorandum of understanding with premier research organisation CSIR-CCMB to launch dry swab RT-PCR tests in the company's mobile testing labs, an official statement said on Monday.
Even as clinical trials on Covid-19 vaccine have reached the final stage, city-based Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has developed an RT-PCR-based test to detect the pandemic virus easily and effectively.

The CCMB team said microRNAs or small RNA molecules have the potential to become important diagnostic tools for identifying and monitoring clinical outcome in patients suffering from acute lymphocytic or lymphoblastic leukaemia.
CCMB researchers have established stable cultures of SARS-CoV-2, the virus which causes Covid-19, from the samples of positive patients.
