Patients, caregivers and families have minimal access to practical information regarding cancer, and most have no health insurance with little or no financial security when they are diagnosed. This is always a challenge as it requires healthcare professionals to straddle the line between being filled with the utmost of sensitivity and empathy, all while clearly stating the facts and avoiding loose talk.
