Viral impact: 25 per cent increase in Bengaluru hospital admissions

Hospital administrators who spoke to a news agency said they have seen up to 25 per cent of their beds occupied by patients with these infections. These beds are continually occupied and patients stay for anywhere between four and seven days, depending on the severity. Caretakers fearing sudden drop in platelet count at home, even for dengue-like infections, are keeping the beds occupied.
