Work on to upgrade Harur govt hospital, says minister
The government has sanctioned 80 lakh for the Dharmapuri government medical college and hospital to procure surgical equipment for the neurology department, medical kits worth 26 lakh would be distributed to the maternity centres in the district.
Subramaniam said the government has also sanctioned 80 lakh for the Dharmapuri government medical college and hospital to procure surgical equipment for the neurology department. “Pay wards will be established at the hospital at a cost of 80 lakh, while the mortuary will be upgraded at a cost of 40.38 lakh.”
The minister said medical kits worth 26 lakh would be distributed to the maternity centres in the district.
Earlier, Subramaniam inaugurated a new building for outpatients that was set up at a cost of 48 lakh at the primary health centre at Marandahalli PHC, new buildings for the primary health centres at Theerthamalai and Kadathur that were set up at a cost of 50 lakh each, and a 2.30-crore worth CT scan and C-arm equipped bone fracture surgery table at the Harur government hospital.
He also distributed welfare measures to the tune of 3.43 crore to 376 beneficiaries. The minister was accompanied by district collector K Shanthi, additional director Dr Elango Maheswaran and DMK functionaries P Palaniappan and Thadangam P Subramani.
