UTTAR PRADESH: Free health camps to mark Doctor’s Day
Local doctors have joined hands to celebrate Doctor’s Day in a big way. Several events will be organised by private as well government doctors to mark the day which is celebrated on July 1.
A cancer awareness camp will be conducted in the JK Cancer Institute of Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Government Hospital on Wednesday. During the camp, which will start from 9:00 am and go on till 1:00 pm in the hospital premises, special OPDs, including that for oral cancer, will be organized.
The facility of pathology, blood test, ultrasound, digital X-ray, OPG, colposcopy will be given to locals. Free medicines to poor patients will also be distributed. “As a doctor it is our duty to provide optimum facilities to our patients. On the occasion of Doctor’s Day, we want to cater to the people in the best possible way,” said director of JK Cancer Institute Dr M P Mishra. Members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) have also geared up for the occasion. They, along with the Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University’s (CSJMU) Institute of Health Science, will organize a blood camp in Ursula Government Hospital.
Along with the blood donation camp, the doctors will also organise a free health checkup camp in the Institute of Health Science on the University campus from morning 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Physicians, opthamologists, diabetologists, oncologists and dentists will participate in the camp. During the camp, free blood test, body fat scanning and diet consultation will be done. Several other pathological tests will be done on discounted rates.
