The CM also assured the doctors that the state government would consider increasing their retirement age. W hile felicitating the outstanding performers in healthcare sector from across the state during the ceremony, Rawat asked the doctors to remain cautious while using technology as it could be “misused to malign their image.”
“Recently, an unnecessary controversy was sparked in IIT- Kanpur because of a poem. This shows how technology and social media can be harmful. So, I suggest all of you to focus on your work and maintain distance from controversy,” said Rawat, while congratulating the newly-elected president and vice- president of the association.
Director general (health) Dr Amita Upreti urged the doctors to work more in hill areas and motivate others to do the same. The DG also ordered all the concerned heads of health department to take strict action against the missing staffers from their team.
“We must ensure that notices are sent to all those who remain missing for more than 15 days without information. Strict action should be taken against those who take their jobs lightly,” she added.
