The Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Society (PHNHS) secretary Dr Viay Kapoor said that doctors from Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Bikaner, Ajmer and other districts will reach Jaipur to march towards state assembly.
“We do not want RTH Bill in any form and it should not be tabled in the state assembly,” said Dr Kapoor.
Meanwhile the members of PHNHS and United Private Clinics and Hospitals of Rajasthan (Upchar) also organised a sadbuddhi yagya in different districts praying that the government should not table the bill in the state assembly.
Besides, the private hospitals associations have called for complete bandh of healthcare facilities as they claimed that they had gone for indefinite strike from Sunday but since it was weekend a lot of private hospitals kept their OPDs closed. However the impact of the strike will be seen on Monday.
Simultaneously, demonstrations were held in various cities across the state. After the completion of the yagya, Dr Lokesh Sharma, Dr Ashok Mittal, Dr Rammohan Agarwal and Dr Ramesh Bachhani sat on a fast in JMA Auditorium.
Dr Kapoor said that the movement is getting support from many other organisations including FOGSI, JOGSI, IRIA etc.
A statewide indefinite complete medical bandh will continue until the government withdraws the RTH bill.
