‘Poshan tracker an effective tool in monitoring schemes’

Chandigarh: Union minister for women and child development said that Poshan tracker, with its large sample size, helps in improving the quality of assessment and is an effective tool in monitoring women and child development schemes.

Irani was speaking at the inaugural session of the zonal conference organised with states and stakeholders in Chandigarh. The Union minister also requested the stakeholders to use ‘Mission Shakti’ scheme implementation guidelines in their assessment. Coordination among departments is vital in the implementation of the schemes by the ministry, she added. The Union minister also said all awareness material would soon be available in braille too.

The Union ministry had organised the zonal conference to sensitise state governments and administration of UTs on the three umbrella missions — Mission Poshan 2.0, Mission Shakti and Mission Vatsalya — to facilitate proper implementation of these schemes over the next five years.
