OTS scheme: Nainital HC seeks housing department's reply on disparity against the hilly areas

While hearing the PIL regarding the OTS scheme was filed in July 2021 by Abhinav Thapar, the HC gave the government the last opportunity to file its reply within 4 weeks and fixed the date of the final hearing on June 14.

Nainital: The Nainital HC on Friday issued a notice and gave a last opportunity to the state government to file its reply on a PIL alleging disparity against the hilly areas in the "One Time Settlement- OTS- 2021" scheme of the housing department's hospital, nursing home and institute providing health services and Clinical Establishment Act.

While hearing the PIL regarding OTS scheme was filed in July 2021 by Abhinav Thapar, the HC gave the government the last opportunity to file its reply within 4 weeks and fixed the date of final hearing on June 14.

Even though two years have passed, the housing department has not given any answer on this, the court observed. The petition demanded special relaxation in the hilly areas to extend health facilities in remote areas of the state.
