Gorakhpur: Elderly citizens aged above 70 years can now generate their Vay Vandana Ayushman Cards for up to Rs 5 lakh health insurance through Ayushman app or website, without needing to visit offices. Chief Medical Officer Ashutosh Kumar Dubey assured that cards can also be created with the help of Arogya Mitras at affiliated hospitals.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to interact with beneficiaries and distribute the cards on Monday. In a virtual meeting, Dubey directed officials to ensure seamless transport and safety for beneficiaries to the event at Mahant Digvijaynath Park, where health awareness stalls will be set up. Around 5,000 attendees are expected to attend the event.
