Novel Coronavirus : One patient detected positive in Kerala
Union Health Ministry confirms that a Kerala student has been diagnosed positive with the Novel Coronavirus the deadly infection, the student had been studying in Wuhan University,China.
The health ministry stated, "The patient has been tested positive for Novel Coronavirus and is in isolation in the hospital. The patient is stable and is being closely monitored".
As per Kerala health ministry officials, seven people, who returned from China were kept under observation .
The coronavirus outbreak began in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province, in December and it has now spread across the globe. In China, 132 people have died and there are at least 6,061 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
Chinese authorities are trying to contain the outbreak while Indian government has been working on plans to evacuate their citizens from Wuhan and other cities in Hubei province, the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak.
