Medical profession not for financial gains: CM
Speaking about his govt's healthcare initiatives, Sharma said efforts were on to digitise health records under Rajasthan Digital Health Mission. He outlined a three-year, Rs 15,000-crore investment through the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Health Infrastructure Mission. He highlighted Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana's provision of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
Speaking about his govt's healthcare initiatives, Sharma said efforts were on to digitise health records under Rajasthan Digital Health Mission. He outlined a three-year, Rs 15,000-crore investment through the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Health Infrastructure Mission. He highlighted Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana's provision of free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. The state's improved medical facilities had boosted medical tourism, he said, which was set to grow further through the Medical Value Travel Policy.
At the ceremony, the CM awarded gold medals and degrees to graduates. He also launched the new Hematology Tower and unveiled the CyberKnife S7 Robotic Radiotherapy System and the new PET-CT Discovery IQ Gen-2 machine, to benefit cancer patients, at the university.
University founder and emeritus chairman Dr M L Swarankar showcased the university's progress, including the state's first Rs 30-crore CyberKnife S7 Robotic Radiotherapy System at Shriram Cancer Centre.
