MP Ayushman Bharat CEO, Aditi Garg told TOI, “The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is a three pronged programme- generation of ABHA ids, health care professional registry and health facility registries.”
“We are targeting these three through different strategies including creating ABHA ids at time of generation of Ayushman card, and those getting treatment in government hospitals”, CEO Garg said.
“Last year (2022), a district wise target was given for creating of the ids including health professional registries, and facilities registries. The focus has increased since CM Jan Sewa Abhiyan held in September last year”, CEO Garg added.
“It all helped in generating a large number of the card, which is voluntary in nature at the moment”, CEO Garg added. The ABDM was launched nationally on September 27, 2021. ABDM aims to promote interoperability and connectivity between hundreds of different, disparate existing digital health systems.
In addition to registries, NHA has also developed a digital system called Health Information Exchange and Consent Manager (HIE-CM). This system ensures that the identity of persons intending to share information is first verified, consent of the person/patient is taken, logged and only after that, the health records are shared, showed response.
