Implement health plan: Manoj Tiwari to AAP

NEW DELHI: State BJP president Manoj Tiwari on Sunday asked chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to implement Ayushman Bharat scheme in the capital to help the poor get the benefits of the health scheme launched by the Centre.

"On the World Health Day, I request the chief minister to implement Ayushman Bharat launched by the Narendra Modi government, which ensures free treatment for poor up to Rs five lakh per annumso that the poor of Delhi also get the benefit of the scheme," Tiwari tweeted.

The Delhi BJP chief also addressed a public meeting in North East Delhi's Burari. On Saturday, Tiwari had taken out a march from Jantar Mantar to Connaught Place, demanding the implementation of the scheme.

In a separate event, Tiwari accused the Congress of defeating the vision of Baba Saheb Ambedkar by using Dalits as its votebank and neglecting them during its rule.
