The Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test was conducted for appointment of nursing officers for all the AIIMS and four Delhi hospitals. Screenshots of the question papers surfaced on social media on the day of the examination, triggering speculation of paper leak, said CBI officials.
The analysis of screenshots showed the console of a candidate, Ritu, who was allocated the centre at Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology. Ritu was arrested and taken on police remand. A complaint was submitted by Dr Naval K Vikram, associate dean, examination section, AIIMS, Delhi, to the CBI. He alleged tweets and screenshots of the paper were uploaded on social media.
However, J S Bedi, managing director, Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, said, “We have submitted the required documents with the CBI. We told them we had only rented out the premises and provided infrastructure to the company conducting the examination. We had no role in conducting the exam.” He said on June 11, the CBI raided the institute and inspected the examination centre as well as the seat and computer where Ritu had appeared for the exam.
