Experts' call today on Corbevax for 12-18 age group
Biological E's application seeking emergency approval for use of its Covid vaccine Corbevax to inoculate youngsters in the 12-18 age group will be evaluated on Monday by the drug regulator's subject expert committee.
Once approved for adolescents above 12 years, Corbevax can potentially help the government ramp up its Covid immunisation drive to cover youngsters in the 12-15 age group as well. This is significant in view of the commencement of the new session in schools.
Currently, only those aged above 15 years are eligible for Covid-19 vaccination.
