Lucknow: King George’s Medical University (KGMU) on Monday decided that the stamp and signature of a treating doctor will be mandatory on the prescription for buying drugs at concessional rates from the pharmacies run through the hospital revolving funds (HRF).

The order has come two-and-half months after the special task force (STF) of the police nabbed three members of a gang involved in selling drugs procured from the KGMU’s HRF pharmacies in open market.
