Do not force fees on medical students: Telangana high court

A bench of Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili and Justice Pulla Karthik directed the authorities and private colleges not to insist or pressurise the students who were sent to other private medical colleges.

Hyderabad: The Telangana high court on Friday directed the authorities of Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences and also private medical colleges not to insist on payment of fees from students who were accommodated in the new colleges as part of reallocation.

A bench of Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili and Justice Pulla Karthik directed the authorities and private colleges not to insist or pressurise the students who were sent to other private medical colleges as part of the readjustment of students from the colleges which lost eligibility to offer the courses in view of the National Medical Commission's decision.

Though the national medical commission had cancelled the MBBS and post graduate admissions made for the 2021-22 in three private medical colleges TRR, Mahavir and MNR stating that its sudden inspections revealed huge deficiencies in infrastructure, the central government allowed MNR college to continue with the admissions.
