Dengue under control, says health min

Chandigarh: Punjab health and family welfare minister Chetan Singh Jauramajra claimed on Tuesday that the dengue situation in the state was completely under control. The minister said the health department had been working round the clock to contain the spread of dengue and was carrying out several anti-dengue drives right from the start of the summer season.

“In September alone, teams of the health department have visited more than three lakh houses to check larvae breeding and mosquito larvae have been found and destroyed in as many as 5,871 houses,” he informed.
