CM relaunches ‘Aao Gaon Chale’ project of IMA

Addressing a gathering at Sardhav village in Gandhinagar district, the CM said that advanced medical services are now being made available to people of the state even at the village level. “With new medical colleges having been started in the state, close to 7,000 doctors are being made available every year,” the CM remarked.
Speaking at the function, state health minister Rushikesh Patel said that the state has set up robust health infrastructure because of the efforts made by PM Modi when he was chief minister of the state.
He added that the state health department is constantly increasing the number of primary health centres, community health centres, sub district and district hospitals, and civil hospitals. Rushikesh Patel added that as of date, 6,350 doctors are trained in Gujarat every year and the number will reach 7,000 in the near future as new medical colleges have been sanctioned and are under construction.
