Wockhardt's Chikalthana plant still under import alert, says USFDA
An import alert means that the drugs manufactured at the plant cannot be sold in the US markets.
The USFDA email said, "As you can see from yesterday's import alert, that Wockhardt location is still actively listed on the import alert". The email indicates that as of September 20, the plant has not yet been cleared.
Wockhardt's Chikalthana plant received an import alert on November 26, 2013 and is still under import alert. An import alert means that the drugs manufactured at the plant cannot be sold in the US markets.
At 12:30 pm, shares of the company were trading at Rs 901.05 apiece, down 1.23 per cent from its previous close on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
