Suven Life secures 2 patents

HYDERABAD, Aug 1: Suven Life Sciences Ltd has secured two patents, one each from Macau and New Zealand, corresponding to its New Chemical Entities (NCEs) for the treatment of disorders associated with neurodegenerative diseases.

The granted claims of the patents are from the mechanism of action include the class of selective 5-HT4 compounds and H3 Inverse agonist compounds and are being developed as therapeutic agents and are useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Attention deficient hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Huntington’s disease, Major Depressive disorder (MDD), Parkinson and Schizophrenia.

With these new patents, Suven has a total of nine granted patents from Macau and twenty five granted patents from New Zealand.

Suven Life Sciences’ scrip marginally gained and is trading at Rs. 204.30 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.
