Pharma shares fall; Cadila Healthcare plunges 4%

NEW DELHI: All pharma shares were trading in red with the Nifty Pharma index trading 1.43 per cent down at 9,200.8 around 10:37 am on Thursday.

Shares of Cadila Healthcare (down 4.05 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (down 3.68 per cent), Biocon (down 2.73 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (down 2.02 per cent), were among the worst performers.

Piramal Enterprises (down 1.49 per cent), Lupin (down 0.87 per cent) and Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (down 0.61 per cent) too were among the top losers in the index.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 6 were trading in the green, while 44 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, L&T Fin Holding, SBI, Idea Cellular, Wipro, ICICI Bank, RIL, HPCL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange.
