ETPharma will host ‘Next-Gen Labcon’ on August 3, 2023, co-powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The conference-themed ‘Building and Benchmarking Robust Pharma Labs Operations: Today and Beyond’ will bring together industry representatives and drug regulators to discuss the effective integration of LIMS and other digital solutions. The event will cover topics such as drug discovery, pharmaceutical manufacturing, data management challenges, laboratory equipment, consumables, workflows, and data analysis. The primary goal will be to explore the latest trends and innovative approaches driving the digital transformation of pharmaceutical laboratories.
The event will commence with a welcome speech by Vikas Dandekar, Editor, Pharma & Healthcare, ETPrime. Following the welcome address, Jayesh Ranjan, Secretary, Information Technology (IT), Government of Telangana, will deliver the chief guest address.
Post the chief guest address, Dr Krishna Ella, Founder and Executive Chairman, Bharat Biotech International Limited, will deliver the guest of honour address focussing on ‘The rise of Made-in-India vaccines supremacy against future pandemics: The way forward. Dr Ella’s address will be succeded by a discussion between Dr KVS Ram Rao, CEO & Joint MD, Granules India (GIL) and Dandekar on ‘Talking best future practices - from lab to the factory’.
After the discussion on ‘Talking best future practices - from lab to the factory’, Rajesh Kuppuswamy, Principal, Healthcare and Lifesciences, AWS, India, will deliver a partner presentation on ‘Indian Pharma Achieving Volume to Value Leadership through Competitive Compliance’.
Panel discussions:
The inaugural panel discussion will be on ‘Enabling a quality conscious LIMS and ELNs: The way forward’. The esteemed panellists for the discussion will include Narendra K Saini, Chief Digital & Data Officer, Lupin, Prashanth GN, Senior Vice President, Corporate Quality, Granules India Limited, Dr Nirmal Kumar, Vice President, Quality, Alkem Laboratories Ltd, Sheetal Pise, Director, Cipla, and Ravi Kalla, Head IT & Process Automation (OT), Anthem Biosciences Pvt Ltd. The ‘Enabling a quality conscious LIMS and ELNs: The way forward’ will be succeded by a fireside chat on ‘Embracing Change: Exploring Digital Transformation in Laboratory Informatics’, The chat will see participation from, Dr Damodharan M, Chief Quality Officer of Global Quality & Regulatory Affairs, Sai Life Sciences Limited, and Dr Sujay Rajhans, President, R&D, JB Pharma and moderated by Dandekar.
Following the fireside chat a panel discussion on ‘Streamlining Workflows: Maximising Efficiency with Digital Transformation in Drug Development and Manufacturing’ will commence. The speakers for the panel will include Abhay Srivastava, President, Operations, Mankind Pharma; Vishwanath Swarup, Chief Operating Officer, Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited; Ajitabh Singh, VP IT & CIO, Neuland Laboratories Limited; and Satheesh K Shetty, Senior Director, Reference Standards, United States Pharmacopeia India (P) Ltd. The session will be moderated by Vinod Arora, Principal Advisor, Institute of Good Manufacturing Practices India (IGMPI).
After the discussion on ‘Streamlining Workflows: Maximising Efficiency with Digital Transformation in Drug Development and Manufacturing’, the last panel discussion for the event will be ‘Leveraging Digital Laboratory Solutions for Regulatory Compliance and Pandemic (future compliance practices)’.
