Drug makers locked in bitter battles over medicine
NPPA’s latest list on defaulters show that total amount outstanding from the industry has snowballed to more than Rs 4,500 crore, ET has found.Over the last two decades, drug makers have been locked in battles with India’s pricing watchdog, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), over claims that they have charged higher prices for several medicines than the government’s ceiling.
