Poly Medicure joins zero emission maritime buyers alliance

New Delhi: Poly Medicure, a leading medical device manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA) to help pioneer the adoption of e-fuels in ocean freight shipping.

The ZEMBA tender aims to aggregate over 80 billion tonne-nautical miles of demand for zero-emission shipping and is expected to scale up e-fuel-powered container shipping by 2027.

Dhruv Baid, Senior Manager,Corporate Strategy, Poly Medicure, said: “While focusing on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, Poly Medicure is also addressing Scope 3 emissions through its membership in ZEMBA. This provides us with a vital platform to tackle emissions from maritime shipping by driving significant demand and purchasing power for zero-emission fuels.”
