Head of microbiology department Dr Anita Mutha said, “The machine will help in detecting different variants of microorganisms and identification of their evolution. It will help in epidemiological surveillance of disease. The machine will become functional at full capacity in a month.”
Dean Dr Sanjay Dixit told TOI, “The new machine will give a boost to surveillance programme of the virology lab of college.”
