There are currently over 50 private labs in Delhi where Covid-19 tests are being conducted.
The testing facility was inaugurated by IIT Delhi director V Ramgopal Rao on Tuesday for institute employees as well as the general public.
The lab can cater to about 2,000 patient samples in a day. “We can expand the testing capacity as per the need,” said Goyal. “One does not need a doctor’s prescription or a prior appointment for the RT-PCR test.”
The sample collection facility will provide the test report within 24 hours.
