Fujifilm India installs Endobronchial Ultrasound System (EBUS) at ESIC Hospital, Faridabad
The machine was inaugurated on International Labour Day in the presence of Bhupender Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment
The Endobronchial Ultrasound System (EBUS) is designed to support diagnosis and staging of various lung disorders. With its enhanced distal angulation and a slim design, this bronchoscope provides innovative ways for doctors to use in a range of procedures. The bronchoscopy aids doctors to diagnose lung disorders including inflammation, cancer or infections. Using a tube which goes from the patient's mouth to the windpipe and lungs, the EBUS scope uses a video camera and ultrasound probe to image the lungs and lymph nodes for accurate location and evaluation of the system.
Commenting on the installation, Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, Fujifilm India Pvt Ltd said, “Fujifilm has always been committed to introducing innovative medical diagnostic and screening devices which help reduce the burden on the healthcare system. With this installation of EBUS at the ESIC Hospital, Faridabad, we are pleased to enter a new chapter of our journey in the country and help doctors accurately diagnose and detect lung disorders for treatment. With this milestone, we will continue to NEVER STOP investing in the betterment of society through our products and services and serve Indians with high-quality healthcare support.”
