Yellow fever vaccine cert: Govt to keep tabs on units
Following reports that certain unauthorised centres are administering vaccination and issuing invalid or fraudulent yellow fever vaccine certificates, resulting in the quarantine of passengers, Union health ministry reiterates taking extreme caution.
“Following reports that certain unauthorised centres are administering vaccination and issuing invalid or fraudulent yellow fever vaccine certificates, resulting in the quarantine of passengers, Union health ministry reiterates taking extreme caution to the invalid vaccination certificates issued from these unauthorised centres,” the Centre issued the alert to the states including Rajasthan.
“We have issued directions to our officials to keep a check on unauthorised centres, if any, providing yellow fever vaccine and issuing certificates. Certificates issued by only authorised centres are valid,” said Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur, director (public health).
