Video of a man cooking paratha in diesel goes viral; netizens tag FSSAI
The video and the idea behind this recipe comes as a shock because only few days before ICMR-NIN has released dietary guidelines for Indians of all age groups and has urged all to consume clean and nutritious diet. In the dietary guideline, the ICMR has urged that more 56% of the non communicable diseases are due to improper diet.
But, a video that is going viral on social media has shook everyone. In the video, we see the shopkeeper frying (literally deep frying) the paratha with diesel! Yes, you read that right, it is DIESEL!.
"Isko khakar kachori ka taste aata hai (This tastes like kachori)," the person behind the camera has said. This unconventional method of preparing paratha has garnered massive attention over social media and netizens have tagged FSSAI, the food regulator of the country, out of concern.
The video captioned: “True recipe for cancer (petrol diesel wala paratha) Where are we heading?” has been shared on X (formerly Twitter).

“My new list of unhealthy cooking oils Diesel Petrol Seed oils,” writes one user, “He will be buying ferrari soon & his customer will be selling their house & cars soon to fund the treatment of cancer," writes another.
“Where is food licensing and standards?” another X user has questioned.
A balanced diet supports a healthy immune system, reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, and promotes optimal physical and mental performance. By consuming a variety of nutrient-rich foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats, individuals can fuel their bodies effectively, maintain a healthy weight, and improve their quality of life. Stay away from viral diet trends circulating on social media. For a customized diet routine, consult a dietitian or a healthcare professional.
Unhealthy food trends can have detrimental effects on the body. These diets often lack essential nutrients, leading to deficiencies that impair bodily functions and weaken the immune system. It can also lead to disordered eating patterns and poor mental health. Sustainable, balanced nutrition is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being, unlike short-term, unhealthy diet trends.
