Tamil Nadu tops in organ donation, says health minister

Municipal administration minister S P Velumani, who was also present at the event, said awareness about organ transplantation was on the rise in the state. “After Chennai, Coimbatore is fast emerging as a healthcare hub. The current infrastructure development trends will catapult the city into the medical tourism map,” he said.
A release from the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research said the hospital would start an organ procurement and transplantation course from the next academic year.
