Tamil Nadu Government Doctors Association oppose extending duty hours
The association has also decided to boycott review meetings and has planned to go on protest throughout the state on Monday.
GO number 225 has revised the duty hours of government primary health centres from 8am to 4pm instead of 9am to 4pm.
"Doctors in the primary health centres are working beyond their duty hours. Extending the duty hours for them is an unnecessary move and the operation of the GO needs to be stayed," K Senthil, state president of the association said in a release.
The association has also decided to boycott review meetings and has planned to go on protest throughout the state on Monday.
