Suvarna Technosoft acquires MedPrecinct Solutions

Hyderabad headquartered healthcare technology firm Suvarna Technosoft into hospital information management system (HIMS) solutions has announced acquiring controlling stake in the Mumbai-based laboratory information management systems (LIMS) solutions provider MedPrecinct Solutions for an undisclosed consideration.

In a statement, Suvarna Technosoft said the acquisition of MedPrecinct will be a game changer as it is currently providing services to over 300 hospitals, 400 diagnostic chains and 20 pharmacy chains, while MedPrecinct has over 200 LIMS installations.

T Suresh, Suvarna’s chief executive and managing director, said, “We provide complementary software and so the idea is to further strengthen our position by ensuring that the acquisition brings tremendous benefits to our existing as well as new clients who require a complete electronic health system to be seamless integrated.”

As a part of HIMS solutions, Suvarna offers software solutions and services in administrative, financial and clinical operations for hospitals, diagnostics and pharmacies.

Suresh said the acquisition is expected to benefit Suvarna’s operations in the West India and in West Indies (Caribbean), where it partners with technology company Advanced Integrated Systems based in Kingston, Jamaica, to provide its suite of health technology products.

Suvarna proposes to extend its software as a service (SaaS) platform to at least 1,000 small and medium sized laboratories across India as well as focus its expansion efforts in its other markets including the Caribbean, the Gulf, Africa and South East Asia.
