Star Health Insurance appoints Anand Roy and Dr S Prakash managing director

Chennai: Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Limited has announced promotion of Anand Roy and Dr S Prakash as MD from the existing joint MD position on Tuesday.

The duo has assumed charge of their new position on December 16. The health insurance company said in a statement, both the MDs have been associated with the Company almost from the beginning, with S Prakash, MS, FRCS (Glasg), FAIS joining Star Health taking insurance as a career, while Anand Roy, an MBA graduate from IMI, New Delhi, with over 20 years of experience. While commenting on the elevation, the new appointed MDs said, “We are humbled by this new appointment and will put in our best efforts.” The company has set a target of Rs 7,000 crore of business this year.
