The relatives are, however, facing difficulties in getting the documents from the KMC — such as death certificate and treatment-related documents — if the patient was admitted in KMC run Covid treatment centres.
As many as 1,261 citizens from Kolhapur city have succumbed to Covid infection as per the data available with the office of district civil surgeon.
Kolhapur Municipal Corporation administrator Kadambari Balkawade said, “The relatives should bring relevant documents such as Aadhaar card, bank account details, death certificate, RT-PCR test report and other medical documents sought by government to apply to the portal. The relatives also have to submit self-declaration. The camp will help the relatives know about the process. Those with all documents, their application will be filed by our staff.”
