Spain's Grifols net profit drops 70% dented by COVID-19 disruption

The profit was significantly below Refinitiv's estimate of 436 million euros. Revenues ebbed 7.6% to 4.933 billion euros, below estimates.

Barcelona: Spanish pharmaceutical company Grifols said on Monday its 2021 net profit fell 70% to 183 million euros ($204.70 million) as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to disrupt supplies of the blood plasma it uses to make medicines.

The profit was significantly below Refinitiv's estimate of 436 million euros. Revenues ebbed 7.6% to 4.933 billion euros, below estimates.
