Rural surgeons to learn new op techniques

Lucknow: The Association of Rural Surgeons of India (ASRI) would hold its annual conference at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences on Friday.

Organising chairperson Prof Gaurav Agarwal, who is also the head of endocrine and breast surgery departments, said that ASRI is dedicated to promoting the work of rural surgeons, who often go unnoticed despite their vital role in providing affordable healthcare to the majority of the population.

“The annual conference serves as an opportunity to update rural surgeons on new operative techniques. The conference will feature operative videos showcasing the latest techniques in breast disorder management, providing rural surgeons with invaluable insights that they can apply in their own practices,” he said. The event is likely to be attended by nearly 300 rural surgeons.
