Revolutionary human milk-based milk fortifier for neonates survival

New Delhi: To help improve intact survival rates of premature babies a human milk derived mother’s milk fortifier which is pasteurised, powdered and standardised from the donors is reconstituted, primarily to address the needs of neonatal nutrition.

As per the guidelines of World Health Organisation (WHO) Lifesciences NeoLacta Life Sciences has developed this 100 percent human milk derived-- Mother's Milk Fortifier' and a range of innovative human milk-based products to improve the quality of nutritional care for newborns.

According to United Nations Inter-Agency Group for Child Mortality Estimation (UN IGME), India ranks fifth out of 52 countries on the neonatal mortality rate index and bears the burden of a high neonatal mortality rate of 21.7 per 1,000 births. Also, most neonatal deaths (75%) occur during the first week of life. Major causes of mortality include prematurity, birth asphyxia, sepsis, pneumonia, and diarrhea.
