Reimagining healthcare in a globalized world - Post COVID

New Delhi: The world has been battling COVID-19 for almost two years now. As nations are trying to combat the unbridled virus, the Indian healthcare and pharma spectrum has led to hard-won innovations with the accelerated development of vaccines and monoclonal antibodies, as well as novel clinical trial designs. Yet, the big question is, "What should be the global health and pharma leaders' next focus? Such pertinent questions will be answered in the virtual event of the 2nd edition of Economic Times Global Townhall, the platform created by The Economic Times (Business Verticals).

Well-known global Indian scientists and thought leaders Dr Krishna Ella, Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Biotech International Limited and Dr Sanjay Singh, CEO, Gennova Biopharmaceuticals will be elucidating about the journey of COVID vaccine development and some of the big moments of this period, changes and challenges that await us post pandemic.

The interactive panel titled Reimagining healthcare in a globalized world - Post COVID, will be moderated by Prof Rajib Dasgupta, Chairperson, Centre of Social Medicine and Community Health, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) who will be posing on the development of India's first indigenous COVID vaccine Covaxin and the intranasal vaccine BBV154. The journey and challenges faced in developing the country's first mRNA COVID-19 vaccine HGCO19, which will be out by the end of the year, will be shared by Dr Sanjay Singh, CEO, Gennova Biopharmaceuticals. Dr Ella and Dr Singh will also be discussing the management of future pandemics.

The two-day Global Townhall virtual event brings in the global icons to identify and deliberate on the challenges and opportunities in a vast array of topics ranging from sustainability and the geo-political outlook to emerging business trends.
