Over 14K pregnant women enrolled for better health care
Officials said a campaign has been launched in all rural and urban based medical health care units wherein pregnant women are being advised to take iron tablets. Moreover, a mop up week campaign with an aim to cover left pregnant women would also be taken up between July 7 and 13.

A senior health official said, “There will be regular blood test of women and all essential health services will also be offered. Officials said the registration of high risk pregnant woman has started with all primary, urban primary and community health services and these women are being offered iron, folic acid, calcium and albendazole. Besides, children suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) were also given folic acid, IFA syrup, albendazole, vitamin A and multivitamin tablets.
Officials said that similar campaign was also carried out in 2022 wherein 93,654 and 66,327 pregnant women were offered medicines and nutrition in first and second phases.
