Nurses postpone proposed stir, new dress code comes into force
The male nursing staff will wear sky blue shirt, navy blue pant, and female nursing staff will wear blue saree/kurta and navy blue salwar (lower), white apron, and navy blue blazer or jersey, black shoes and white socks. Currently, the dress of nursing staff is completely white. The order will be implemented with immediate effect. After the meeting, the nurses decided to end their fast unto death and postponed the agitation and the proposed strike.
The health department changed dress code for nurses in government hospitals. Health department’s director (public health) Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur issued an order on Friday mentioning that the dress code has been changed on the lines of AIIMS, Delhi.

Talks were held under the chairmanship of additional chief secretary (health) Shubhra Singh. The discussion was held with the health department officials and Rajasthan Nurses’ Joint Struggle Committee.
Order for opening crèches will also be issued as soon as possible for the convenience of female nurses working in the district hospitals and sub district hospitals of the state.
It was decided to form a committee to examine the financial demands of the organisation in which director public health, director non-gazetted, joint secretary (III), representative of finance department and registrar of Rajasthan Nursing Council will be members. This committee will submit its report in 15 days.
