Newborn twins die after mom takes pills from Rudrapur quack
Newborn twins died after receiving medication from a private clinic operator in Rudrapur. The mother's family accused the operator of prescribing incorrect medicines. The twins' deaths were attributed to a reaction to the medication. The police are searching for the operator and will interrogate her once she is found.
Dharmendra Singh, a resident of Vihar Colony Ward 25 in Rudrapur, reported the incident to the city police. His seven-month-pregnant wife had received medicines from a local clinic operator who frequently visited their home. The clinic operator advised them to use the provided medicines if any issues arose. On December 30, Dharmendra's wife took the medication. The next day, she experienced severe bleeding, prompting a visit to a private hospital.
Doctors at the hospital discovered she was carrying twins and needed an emergency normal delivery due to excessive bleeding. However, one of the newborns passed away immediately after birth, followed by the second daughter approximately four hours later. While the wife survived, doctors attributed the twins' deaths to a reaction to the medication.
Dharmendra later learned the clinic operator had a history of mishandling cases with incorrect medications. The police are investigating the matter to understand the circumstances. Police officers said, "The operator was not found at her clinic. We are searching for her and will interrogate her once she is nabbed."
