Mumbai: Allocate more for healthcare, demands IMA
Topping the list is a demand to increase state expenditure on healthcare, boosting of medical education in public sector, strengthening of primary and rural services, and abolition of 'crosspathy'.
IMA members said the health manifesto will be given to all candidates in the state. "Health is one of the most important factors to keep a nation's GDP growing. Only a healthy nation can be productive, as Europe and US show us. Unfortunately, concerns surrounding healthcare don't feature in manifestos," said IMA secretary Dr Suhas Pingle.
