‘Medical dispensary on land in Pilerne’

SALIGAO: Saligao MLA and RDA minister Jayesh Salgaonkar has put up a proposal with the government over setting up a rural medical dispensary in Pilerne on proveodria land admeasuring around 2,500 sqm.

There will also be facilities for a physiotheraphy centre, and the file for proposal to set up the dispensary is already moved with the health department, and the land will be transferred to the health department, said Salgaonkar.

“This land has been lying vacant and there was a proposal of constructing a police station, but why should a police station come up on provedoria land? The basic purpose of a provedoria is to look after the health and medical needs of the sick and the elderly,” said Salgaonkar.
