When CMHO Dr Praveen Jadia was asked about less number of male sterilization cases in the district in comparison to female, he said, the situation of male sterilization across the state is grim. There is hardly any district in Madhya Pradesh, where one per cent male sterilization has been achieved.
Speaking about the reason behind low male sterilization per cent CMHO said, “Lack of awareness and taboo that sterilization leads to weakness are major reasons behind low per cent of male sterilization.
