Officials said that students who consumed these chocolates suffered from headache, nausea and related conditions.
A few shops situated near Kadamgodu government fisheries' vocational higher secondary school in Kasargod were recently caught selling drug-laced chocolates hidden in lipsticks. Health officials found out about this when they received an anonymous tip about it. They immediately raided the shops and confiscated the chocolates.
Officials said that students who consumed these chocolates suffered from headache, nausea and related conditions. They have warned the shopkeepers that their permit would be revoked if they resort to selling these chocolates.
Cheruvattoor Social Health Centre's Dr Praveen Kumar said that consumption of these chocolates could prove dangerous for the students.
The health department officials are planning to conduct an awareness drive among students in an effort to stop the consumption of these chocolates.
