This initiative forms a crucial component of Jivika's S.A.V.E. program, which aims to prevent cervical cancer through early and regular screening, facilitating access to diagnostics, promoting vaccination, and providing education on the matter.
In an effort led by Jivika Healthcare, the organisation aims to distribute a total of 4840 vaccine doses as part of their campaign. Among the allocated doses, 2000 will be provided to Pune, 1200 to Mumbai, 1000 to Bengaluru, and 640 to Delhi.
Alongside the vaccine distribution efforts, the team led by Jivika Healthcare will arrange educational sessions to enhance awareness among beneficiaries and their guardians. These sessions will emphasise the significance of safeguarding against cervical cancer by undergoing regular screenings for cervical pre-cancerous lesions
“Ensuring access to preventive healthcare for girls from marginalised communities is not only a matter of equity, but also a crucial step towards building a healthier society. By investing in their well-being today, we are securing a brighter future for generations to come ” said Sumit Tayal, CEO, Give Grants, while expressing his support for this campaign.
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of the cervical cancer vaccination campaign in major cities of India, which aims to provide preventive healthcare to underprivileged girls. Cervical cancer is a preventable disease and we believe that no girl should be deprived of an opportunity to protect herself against it. We thank the Danaher Foundation and Give for joining us in this noble cause and making a difference in the lives of young girls” commented Jignesh Patel, Founder & CEO, Jivika Healthcare.
