India witnesses 3,720 new COVID cases, active cases stand to 40,177
A total of 92.70 crores of COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far in the country, and 1,50,735 tests are being conducted in the last 24 hours, as per the health bulletin. The daily positivity rate is 2.47 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 3.46 per cent.
With 20 deaths in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 5,31,584. The mortalities observed were: one death each in Bihar, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal; two each in Haryana, Punjab; three in Uttar Pradesh, and a total of five reconciled deaths were reported as per the Ministry of Health portal.

The bulletin further added that India has administered a total of 220.66 crores total vaccine doses (95.21 crores second dose and 22.87 crores precautionary dose) of COVID-19 have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 2,459 doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
A total of 7,698 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,43,84,955. The national recovery rate currently stands at 98.73 per cent.
